Terms & Conditions/ Contract waiver form: 

The Rental Terms and Conditions, the Rental Contract, any additional agreements, documents, or online agreements sent electronically, the Privacy Notice, and the Rental Receipt collectively form the "Rental Agreement" between you and Reyes Rentals LLC as stated in the Rental Contract. Any modifications to the Rental Agreement or our rights must be documented in writing and signed by an authorized officer. You acknowledge our unilateral right to modify these Terms and Conditions with written notice to you or by posting changes on the website. These changes will apply to future rentals, and it is not necessary for you to sign the revised Terms and Conditions. Updates will be posted on the Reyes Rentals LLC website and will govern all subsequent rentals, even if they differ from the terms at the time of reservation.

Vehicle rentals are subject to availability, and prices may change without prior notice. Fees may apply for changes to return date/time or location.

Drivers must be over the age of 21 with a valid driver's license. Temporary licenses or permits are not accepted. Any international renter license must be in english or accompanied by an international driving permit.

 All vehicles are non-smoking vehicles and smoking or vaping is strictly prohibited; This includes but is not limited to cigarettes, tobacco, marijuana, vape pens, e-cigarettes etc. a $100 fee plus taxes and webpage fees will be charged to the credit card on file or deducted from the security deposit if smoke odor is detected or if there's any traces of smoking found in the vehicle. 

The rented vehicle must not be operated while under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Any accident reported under the influence will void our insurance and the client will be liable for all damages and fees.

The vehicle must be returned with a full tank of gas or the same level as provided at the start of the rental. Failure to do so will result in a $20 refueling fee plus the cost of refilling the tank and taxes and webpage fees charged to the credit card on file or deducted from the security deposit.

Ensure the vehicle is returned in a clean condition. A $50 cleaning fee will be imposed for excessive interior dirt, including sand and trash left behind and wet interior. A  $100 cleaning fee will be charged for excessive mud on the vehicle's exterior. A $150 deep cleaning fee will be charged for any deep cleaning needed to the vehicle/shampoo due to excessive mud, sunscreen, wet interior, pet hair, etc. 

The driver holds responsibility and liability for any damages incurred to the vehicle or any third party involved. All drivers must be listed in the contract and possess a valid driver's license. 

By providing a phone number, the Driver consents to being contacted via call or text regarding the rental.

By signing this contract The driver agrees to permit us to charge the card on file for any traffic violation fees, damages to the rental or any additional fees without requiring client approval.

A $20 processing fee will be applied to each violation total including the municipality surcharge fees and charged to the card on file plus any taxes and web page fees to process the transaction. We advise customers to promptly inform us of any traffic violations to avoid additional fees. Failure to report violations may result in a $100 fee, in addition to the ticket cost and any government-imposed fees/ surcharges. Discounts stated on violation tickets will not be honored as processing times may exceed 30 days. We will retain the $250 deposit if the violation exceeds this amount, with any remaining costs billed to the card on file. If the customer chooses to pay the violation ticket themselves it is important to still notify your host and provide them with the violation ticket and receipt of payment as Puerto Rico violation ticket system can take up to 2 years to be processed and can result in being charged twice due to not notifying your host correctly. Please note a violation charge can take up to 2 years for notification. 

Reyes Rentals LLC has the right to transfer the liability of the violation ticket to the customer who received it. We have the right to provide personal information to the ticketing agency if requested in order to transfer the violation over. 

The customer is entirely responsible for covering any towing expenses resulting from non-compliance, illegal parking, damages etc.

There is absolutely no off-roading, towing, hauling, standing or jumping on any of our vehicles. Renter agrees that they will use the rental vehicle only for personal or routine business use as well as only operate the rented vehicle on properly maintained roads and parking lots. Renter will not sublease the rented vehicle or use it as a vehicle for hire. 

Reyes Rentals LLC is not responsible for any items left in the vehicle. Customers must thoroughly inspect the vehicle for belongings before returning it. 

In the event of a lost or damaged vehicle key, a $50 replacement fee will be charged along with the cost of creating a new key. If a locksmith is required to retrieve a locked key from the vehicle, a $50 fee plus the locksmith's cost will be applied plus taxes and web page fees.

Customers have the option to add our insurance policy for $14.99 per day, with a $500 deductible in the event of an accident. The client must notify their host/driver assigned to them or Reyes Rentals LLC customer service immediately after contacting the police and filing a report. A police report is required for any claims.  In case of accidents or breakdowns, customers must use their host's designated towing company if applicable. Any towing charges or uncovered fees are the customers full responsibility. Insurance covers the customer in case of an accident. Any scratches, dents, tire/rim damages, interior damages, mechanical damages, are not covered and are the clients full responsibility.  As such there could be additional charges for comprehensive losses like fire, theft, vandalism, flood, hail, or acts of God. Client agrees any damage made to the vehicle or to a third party if not covered by insurance is the clients full responsibility. Only the drivers stated in the contract are covered by our insurance policy if insurance is added to their reservation. Anyone driving not authorized, unlicensed or intoxicated will not be covered and the clients in the contract make themselves fully responsible for all charges. Any accident made from negligence, driving intoxicated, racing etc. can void insurance.

Please report any vehicle issues promptly to the host/driver or customer service. The customer is fully responsible for any mechanical issues resulting from neglect or mistreatment of the vehicle that were not previously reported, and such issues are not covered by insurance.

By using their own insurance policy, customers acknowledge that their insurance will cover all costs in case of damages or accidents, and that their insurance is current and valid. If false information is provided or if their insurance does not cover the rental vehicle charges, customers accept full responsibility for the cost of repairs, as well as any applicable taxes and fees. It is the customers responsibility to ensure that their insurance policy is valid and that it covers them in the island of Puerto Rico renting from a car sharing website.

You assume full responsibility for any tire or rim damage during your rental period. This includes the cost of repairing or replacing the tire or rim and any associated labor charges and processing fees. 

If you engage in any car negligence such as accidents, failure to report accidents, driving while intoxicated, racing, unauthorized towing, receiving tickets, abandoning a vehicle, receiving complaints, not communicating with the host, or showing disrespect towards the host or employees, we reserve the right to cancel your order immediately without any refund and forfeit your security deposit.

An e-Toll service is available for travelers wishing to use toll roads at a daily rate of $8.99 plus taxes and web page fees. This is not an unlimited tolls package, you are only covered up to the total of $8.99 per day. Should you go over the limit you will only be charged the difference amount plus taxes and webpage fees no service fee.  Otherwise, toll costs plus a $20 service fee plus taxes and web page fees will be charged to anyone who decides to not use the prepaid tolls system. Customers driving through toll booths without an alternative payment method will be enrolled in the e-Toll service, with any excess toll charges deducted from the security deposit. Toll fees may take up to 3 weeks to be billed to you through the card you used to pay for your rental and can delay the security deposit if the tolls package was not added initially. In Puerto Rico, tolls are managed through toll by plate, and the island has its own toll service system. This means there are no physical toll booths to stop and pay at, and out-of-state transponders cannot be used. Instead, toll charges are automatically linked to the vehicle's license plate.

An Additional driver can be added at no additional cost. Any other drivers that would like to be added can be added for a one-time fee of $15 per person, provided they are over 21 years old with a valid driver's license. If the client is using their own personal insurance policy to cover the rental they and anyone under that policy can drive the vehicle with the additional driver rules stated. If any additional driver is not under the policy that is given, they cannot be added as a driver or our insurance policy would have to automatically be added.

A credit card is required when booking with Reyes Rentals LLC. There is no charge or hold on the credit card unless you choose to use that credit card to actually make your payment as well. It is just to have on file for security purposes. The customer does allow us to make any necessary charges off of it if needed where the original card they used to make the payment cannot be charged for any reason made. Payments can be made with a debit or credit card only and must be under the name of the person booking. No Cash.

Reyes Rentals Requires all customers booking with us to upload a photo both front and back of their credit card via our secure dropbox link to have on file as well as any drivers licenses both front and back of the designated drivers on file. We also require a photo of the drivers listed to take a photo of themselves with their license for security purposes. We may keep this information on file for up to 2 years.

Reyes Rentals LLC enforces a 20-minute wait limit for vehicle drop-off or pick-up. Customers must communicate their exact timing preferences to avoid a $40 waiting fee for exceeding the wait time without driver/host approval. For every hour of wait time there is an additional fee of $50 per hour of waiting or can be charged a complete full day. 

Any orders between out of office hours which are 8PM-10AM or any delayed flight where the customer lands at a different time than originally scheduled any time of the day as well as any major holiday that we are closed will be required to park the vehicle in the SJU airport parking lot. The customer is responsible for the parking lot ticket in which they can pay at the lot when picking up the vehicle or will be automatically charged to the card on file or deducted from the security deposit when dropping off the vehicle maximum $27.25 plus taxes and webpage fees.

Improper return fee: If the customer returns the vehicle incorrectly for example: locking keys in the vehicle, not properly placing the lockbox correctly, parking in a different lot/location not approved by host, not following drop off instructions, not informing your host where the vehicle is stationed, not leaving the lot ticket in the vehicle for the host or any other inconvenience that could occur for not properly following instructions will result in a improper return fee of $50 and additional fees can apply. 

A security deposit of $250 is required at the time of booking that does not go towards your rental total, serving as a guarantee against additional costs during the rental period. The deposit will be refunded upon vehicle return as long as there are no additional fees, damages, etc. Deposit can take up to 15 business days to be returned from the day the car is returned.

Customers acknowledge and assume all risks associated with driving a vehicle rented from Reyes Rentals LLC. By signing the agreement, customers release Reyes Rentals LLC from liability for any injuries, damages, or losses incurred during the rental period. I, for myself, my heirs, successors, and assignees do hereby release, discharge, and waive any and all responsibility of the Reyes Rentals LLC its officers, agents, representatives, host and employees from and against all claims of liability from any and all trauma, injury, damage, expense, handicap, disability, including death, and from damage to or loss of property which may be suffered by arising out of, or in any way resulting from or attributable in whole or in part to my traveling to or from the designated pick up and drop off location.

I agree to abide by all the event/ program’s rules and regulations regarding any and all of my participation in this rental. This Informed Consent and Waiver Agreement will be construed under and pursuant to the laws of Puerto Rico.

Cancellation policies apply based on the timing of cancellation, with refunds subject to specific conditions. Customers failing to adhere to payment, payment method and waiver requirements risk cancellation without deposit refunds. In the case of flight delays or cancellations, guests must notify Reyes Rentals LLC promptly for trip modifications or cancellations. Cancellation more than 7 days before the reservation date will result in a full refund. Cancellation within 7 days of the reservation date will incur a $50 cancellation fee. Cancellation 2 days or less before the reservation date will result in the forfeiture of the $250 security deposit. Reyes Rentals LLC is not subject to cancellation or refunds due to weather related events, including but not limited to rain, snow, storms, hurricanes or any other natural disaster.

Complete payment for vehicle rental and signing of waivers must be done at least 24 hours in advance before the rental date starts. Failure to make payment or sign waivers with a copy of your credit card and license proof may result in cancellation without deposit returns. Any order that begins without a signed contract will be automatically signed and processed.

If the guest returns the car before the time specified in the original contract, no part of the total rental amount will be refunded. Any add ons will not be refunded if unused and cannot be removed once the order starts.

You affirm that you are a capable and validly licensed driver and will maintain a valid driver's license throughout the rental term. We reserve the right to verify the validity of your license and may refuse rental if your license is not in good standing. Only Permitted Drivers specified in the Rental Agreement may operate the vehicle with your permission. You are financially responsible under the Rental Agreement even if the vehicle is driven by a Permitted Driver or someone else. 

The vehicle must be returned in the same condition as received at the specified time and location. Different or higher rental rates may apply for late returns. Extension of rental must be requested in advance, and additional charges may apply. Unauthorized return to a different location or different time may incur fees specified by us.

Pick-Up and Drop-Off Locations: Pick-ups and drop-offs are limited to the SJU airport or the San Juan metro area, where customers can customize these services at no additional charge. Exceptions for other locations around the island may be considered if agreed upon by the driver and are within driving limits, with additional fees applicable for out-of-range customizations. These custom locations are only valid with drop off times of 10AM-8PM. Any drop offs between the times of 8PM-10AM would only be at SJU airport for pick up and drop offs unless specified differently by your host in which the client is responsible for the lot ticket cost. 

The renter is responsible for all charges related to the rental, including miscellaneous services, add ons, accessories, airport facility fees, concession recovery fees, vehicle license recovery fees, and other applicable fees and surcharges.

All vehicles are equipped with tracking devices for security purposes (tiles/airtags), and disabling them is strictly prohibited. Data collected from these devices is safeguarded in accordance with privacy laws and terms of service. Any tampering with location devices can result in additional fees.

The rented vehicle is for personal or routine business use only and must be operated on properly maintained roads and parking lots. Off-roading is not permitted. The renter must comply with all laws related to vehicle operation and licensure.

The Owner warrants that the rental vehicle is in good condition, and the Renter warrants that they are legally entitled to operate a motor vehicle and will not do so in violation of any laws. Before taking possession of the vehicle the renter is required to conduct an inspection of the vehicle as well as document any damages. It is encouraged to always take before and after photos.

The total taxes and website fees amount to 15%, broken down as 11.5% for Puerto Rico Taxes and 3.5% for web page fees.

Failure to comply with the following guidelines may lead to the reporting of the booked vehicle as stolen to law enforcement, potentially resulting in arrest, civil and/or criminal penalties, and the cancellation of your protection plan: Not returning the vehicle at the agreed time and place with the host or as designated in your reservation. Failing to return the vehicle by the end of the reservation period without obtaining an extension through the Services. Returning the vehicle to a location other than the designated return location. Any damage, loss, or theft of the vehicle before the host inspects it upon return is the guest's responsibility. Providing false information to the host regarding the booking, use, or operation of the vehicle. Theft or damage to the vehicle's interior components or the vehicle itself if left unlocked, running, or unattended with keys not secured. Failing to cooperate in good faith with the host, police, Reyes Rentals LLC, or authorities in reporting accidents or vandalism involving the vehicle. Operating the vehicle under false pretenses, with an invalid driver's license, or misrepresenting facts to the host or Reyes Rentals.  The primary guest who booked the reservation or any additional drivers are liable for any private investigation costs incurred by Reyes Rentals LLC to recover a vehicle that is not returned. Any criminal activity is not allowed and will be reported to local authorities as well can incur in additional fees and penalties.

  A $1000 case administration fee will be charged to the primary guest if a vehicle is reported as stolen to law enforcement due to non-return with any additional cost/fees. Reyes Rentals LLC reserves the right to repossess any vehicle booked through the Services at the guest's expense if not returned by the end of the reservation or if found illegally parked, abandoned, or used in violation of the law or terms. In the event of a missing or stolen vehicle during the reservation period, the guest must promptly return the original ignition key to the host, file a police report within 24 hours of discovery, and fully cooperate with all relevant parties in the investigation.

Collections and Delinquent Payment Policy: By signing this agreement and/or booking with Reyes Rentals PR, the renter acknowledges and agrees that any unpaid balances, including but not limited to: damages, tolls, cleaning fees, incidentals, late returns, or chargebacks, may be sent to a third-party collections agency after 14 days of non-payment. The renter agrees to be held liable for all costs associated with the recovery of the outstanding balance, including collection fees, attorney’s fees, and any applicable court costs. We reserve the right to report delinquent accounts to credit reporting agencies, pursue legal action, and/or sell the debt to a third party for recovery.

Any Unpaid balances or dispute charges with Reyes Rentals may be referred to collections, where all necessary information required for debt collection will be provided. This action can lead to credit checks and potential damage to your credit. Furthermore, any outstanding debts sent to collections will incur additional fees, interests, effectively doubling the original amount owed to cover the costs of recovery as well as any legal fees will be charged to the client. Reyes rentals have the right to charge any of the credit/debit cards on file regardless of the name to recover any unpaid balance or disputes owed to the company. In the event of any outstanding payments, violations, or disputes that we are unable to resolve through automatic charges or collections, we reserve the right to share your information with the designated host responsible. This may be necessary for any further legal actions required to recover the owed funds.

 Chargebacks or payment disputes will not be permitted for any charges tied to contractual terms agreed upon in this document. Renter agrees not to dispute charges that are supported by evidence (e.g., photos, receipts, signed agreement, inspection reports).

All rental charges are considered final and non-refundable once the vehicle has been delivered and accepted by the renter.

Reyes Rentals is a car sharing company. We do not own any of the vehicles being rented and we are not an insurance company. We are a marketplace for local car rentals to connect with potential clients. When renting with Reyes Rentals you will have a host who owns the vehicle that will be your point of contact for your trip. Any questions, issues, etc must be communicated exclusively with your car rental company's host who is assigned to you once your rental begins. 

you waive and discharge any and all rights you have to sue or make claims against Reyes Rentals and any of its subsidiaries, directors, officers, agents (including third-party administrators, insurance producers, and insurance providers), or employees (together, the “Reyes rentals parties”) and any Reyes rentals user for any damages or losses, whether due to negligence or otherwise, arising out of or in connection with the following: (1) vehicle availability (e.g., a vehicle not being available or returned when it was supposed to be), (2) problems with a vehicle (e.g., any malfunction of or deficiency with a vehicle), (3) vehicle warranty issues (e.g., any breach of warranty or other obligation by any manufacturer or other third party associated with the vehicle), (4) the legal or license status of a vehicle, host, or guest, (5) third party assessments of a vehicle's value, or (6) any action or inaction of a host or guest. you agree that neither Reyes rentals nor any other party involved in creating, producing, or delivering the services will be liable for any incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential damages (including lost profits, data, or goodwill, service interruption, computer damage or system failure, or the cost of substitute products or services), whether based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence), product liability, or any other legal theory, arising out of or in connection with the following: (1) the agreement, (2) the services (including listing or booking of any vehicle or optional extra via the services), or (3) inability to use the services.
